December 5
As the year winds down, Ron has just a few more things to do. On Friday December 7, he will participate in the CBC's Sounds of the Seasons.
This is an all day event at the studio at 250 Front Street W in Toronto
to benefit the Daily Bread Food Bank. Stop by with canned food (or a
monetary donation) from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM to be part of the live
audience. All day long, special guests will be performing with Ron
making his appearance shortly after 5:00 PM Eastern Time. If you're not
in the Toronto area, listen live on the web.

Now that Ron has completed his US Nick Lowe tour and wrapped up the
band tour in eastern Canada, he should be relaxing at home, right?

and some with Blue Rodeo backing him up. He even may play on some of
their songs. Luke Doucette and Oh Susanna will be also be on select
shows. Since these are not full Ron shows, we won't post the gigs in
the Tour Dates. But the tour is definitely worth catching - you never
know what might happen. The itinerary is:
October 21 - Magic Bag, Ferndale MI
October 22 - World Cafe Live, Philadelphia PA
October 23 - Gramercy Theater, New York NY
October 24 - Rex Theater, Pittsburgh PA
October 26 - Martyr's, Chicago IL
October 27 - Beachland Ballroom, Cleveland OH
October 28 - Higher Ground, Burlington VT

Hello
everyone…
I just got back from NYC where we got a little further on the new disc. I'll be
heading to the UK this weekend to hopefully finish up all my stuff before they
mix it. I'm very much looking forward to the upcoming Niclk Lowe dates and I
hope to see some of you out there.
All the
best.
Love, Ron .

More
Tour Dates have now been added, a couple of Canadian wine
festivals and other shows. But the big news here is that from September 17
through October 2, Ron will be on tour in the US with Nick Lowe who is out promoting his new album "At My
Age". Some of you may remember that Nick Lowe is a longtime fan of Ron's,
going so far as to perform Secret Heart live on many occasions. These shows
should be lovely and sthere's no doubt that something special will happen each
night. Make a road trip if you must, just get there if you can.
July 24

Hello
everyone... its been awhile since I've submitted anything so here goes. This
year has been quite busy with touring and recording. A few months back, I was
in the UK working on my next record with my friend Martin Terefe. We took a
little time off and last week we resumed work on the album in Havana Cuba of
all places - now that was a pretty interesting trip. As you can imagine there's
really nothing Cuban about my music and we're certainly not making a
"world beat" album (or even "Graceland") but we did get
some cool horns and percussion on a few tracks.
This
summer will be busy with a mini tour of Spain and a bunch of festivals in
Canada. We're still focusing on the USA with possible residencies in Austin and
NYC coming up and hopefuly another tour as well. I'm also very much looking
forward to the Canadian east coast shows in October. Those dates will be posted
soon.
Well, I
guess that's about it until next time.
Cheers, Ron

February 8 - Message from Ron:
Hello
everybody - It's with a great sense of relief that I was able to get through
the USA tour. Pretty much from the beginning, my voice felt a little weak and
then after a few shows it had completely failed me. On top of that, I came down
with one of the most stubborn colds I've ever experienced. So I just wanted to
thank everyone who came out for their patience and understanding. I hope the
shows didn't suffer too much. For all the folks in Virginia, I'm excited that
we will be coming back through in March to make up for the one show we
cancelled there. This year is still young (and so is the album, at least in
America) so I look forward to getting back down there for some more touring
opportunities both with band and solo. Somewhere in all this, I'm hoping to get
started on my new record so that it might have a chance of coming out in '08 -
I'm quite excited about the new tunes. Well, I guess that's about all for now.
Thank you all for checking in, for coming out to the shows and for being so
supportive. See ya soon. Love, Ron
February 6
Ron's
song "Hands of Time" will be featured quite prominently on NBC's comedy Scrubs on Thursday, February 8, 9:00 PM Eastern Time.
Check your local listings. Be sure to watch till the very end of the show - Ron
has had some great song placements on TV shows in the past and this one rates
right up there with the best of them.

Saskatoon and will be broadcast live on CTV. Nelly Furtado hosts.
February 4
On
Saturday February 10, Ron and CBC
Radio
are teaming up to rework a classic Ron tune and give it a whole new sound. Ron
will be the featured guest on GO!, CBC's Saturday morning show, hosted by Brent
Bambury. Brent's hired an arranger, a pack of hungry classical musicians and
together with Ron, they are going to put a classical twist on one of Ron's
songs. The song remains a secret, but if you want to witness its world premiere
in person and you live in Toronto, send an email to reserve a seat in the studio audience. The
only catch: the whole thing starts at 8:30 AM and it's live, so don't be late!
If you can't be there, tune in to the broadcast or the webcast at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
February 2
On
Sunday, February 4, Ron will be the guest on KLSX-FM 97.1 in Los Angeles for the show Media Whores. It is

Ron. He will be on air 5-5:45 PM Pacific Time. Tune in to 97.1 or listen via
the webcast. If you are unsure how the time zone translates, go here.

hour long show will feature Ron on Sunday, February 4, 6PM Eastern Time. If you
are an XM subscriber, you can listen in your car or home (or on DirecTV) -
wherever you normally would tune in. If you are not an XM subscriber, you
should be able to get a Free Trial to listen online. It takes a few
