Trashcan Sinatras new Cd "In the Music" is to be released in North America this April 27th, with North American tour dates to follow in June!! (cannot wait to see these guys!!!).  I picked up a pre-order of the new CD months ago and it is terrific (much like their "Weightlifting" CD).

 

Here's hoping we get to hear Ron's new CD soon, plus hear about some major tour dates for him as well!!!

I agree Slim!  "Should I Pray" is such a beautiful, soothing, and encouraging song because there is so much love in the memories and questions and it's like so many of us are, "feeling the song", that it unites us in Light and Faith!  I have always enjoyed Carly Simon's music and her vocals on this song sound as though joy is found in her strength of heart and the most lovely, kind, genuine, vivid inner smile that reaches the heavens above! See, Ian!  This is meant to be and you've got a chance to see the Trashcan Sinatras as you wished.

I'm with you in hoping to hear Ron's new CD soon or to have a chance to see him play live!

Thanks Maria - I really love that "People" video - seeing the looks on peoples' faces as they approach and get a nice hug from a person they do not know.  It is a wonderful idea for a song/video, or for just helping someone get on with their day! So, BIG hugs back to you too, and to all on this messageboard!!   The Trahscan Sinatras' music is very light, melodic, and positive/uplifiting.....their Weightlifting Cd is one of my favourites, and the new one is right up there too!!  I hope, when they do tour, they do a few dates in Canada. I always regretted missing them when they played here in Ottawa in 2004, when they played a great little club called Zaphods!   Hopefully they will do a few dates in Canada this spring!!  I am sure they will hit Toronto, so maybe you can go see them!!!

OHH, now I remember the "Free Hugs" movement, or stories about people doing that. Sometimes an idea can be simple, _and_ brilliant, _and_ a gift beyond price for everyone who encounters it. Thanks Ian and Maria for a nice end to my Friday work day...great music and thoughts
